Any recommendations for alternative email services that is not any of the popular mainstream services will be appreciated. Many thanks.
Try clintonemail.com. I hear it is very popular in Russia.
For the ultimate in privacy and security, I would suggest setting up your own private server at home, preferably in your bathroom. If security is ever breached, causing you to get into legal difficulties, just say that you can’t recall anything, and, anyway, there was no “intent” to do any harm. Be sure to use a DOD-level deletion program such as BleachBit if your records are subpoenaed, just to prove that you didn’t mean to obstruct justice. Oh, and don’t forget to change your name to Hillary Clinton so that you can avoid any culpability.
“”just say that you cant recall anything,””
Better - it’s not your house and it’s not your server. It’s not even your neighborhood nor is it your state...

Thanks for posting that mail.com and GMX.com use the same format. I was confused by that when I set up mail.com thinking it was the same as GMX.com - which was my intent. Couldn’t believe an IT guy would recommend mail.com with all the crap I’ve had with that account! ARGHHH!
“Is this a different email account than the messaging mail to private replies? I didnt know that.”

I think it was intended as a joke.
.
BTTT
Yes. As in your current user name @freerepublic.com I believe.
No joke.
Thanks-—and sorry !
.
Not sure if this works. Someone said it was a joke. Silly me.
“Oh, and dont forget to change your name to Hillary Clinton so that you can avoid any culpability.”
Very cleverly written, lol. Bravo.
Kinda depends upon what you want from your email. Do you want POP access, or is webmail o.k.? Do you use IMAP? Do you want email forwarding?
I have used pobox.com for about 18 years as an email forwarding service. I basically use it so that if I change my internet provider, I dont have to send out a new email address to my contacts. How a forwarder address works, is that you might have an address like zeugma@pobox.com. when people send email to that address, it gets automatically forwarded to my ‘real’ address. I dont even know off the top of my head what my ‘real’ email address is. When I change providers, I point pobox to it, change my email clients to pull from the new location, then forget about it.
thanks, I like that...
Yes, just interested in basic email web service for personal use.
Safe, SECURE, located in Australia.
Neither law enforcement, or and of the 3 letter "alphabet" organizations have any access to your emails . Fastmail will not simply roll over, automatically submit to their coercive, gestapo tactics and cough up your information. If they want it they have to submit a warrent in writing to a judge in a court of law in Australia for review.
If the judge determines they have no genuine LEGAL reason to read your emails or access your account their request is denied and they are told to "go pound sand" and Fastmail refuses to cooperate or acquess to their illegal demands!
Because of what I do for a living (see my FR profile), I have been using Fastmail since 1994 to protect the annonimity of the staff and faculties of the schools I teach in, along with privacy of my students for our mutual protection because they are located throughout the former Soviet Union.
Fastmail is outstanding!
