Wife and I arrived about 10:30, real early as we did not want to get shut out.
Sat against the back wall for an hour until things got started. Place was packed and it is a very large venue.
Local dignitaries spoke and then Rudy Giuliani spoke from about 12:20 for about half an hour and as usual he fired the crowd up.
Old Rolling Stone and Elton John music.
Then about 1:08 The Donald came out to thunderous applause.
He stuck to a scripted speech for the most part, stuff we’ve heard, But, he forcefully denied the recent allegations of harassment.
Prior to that,
Lots of “Lock her up”,
“lots of Boo’s for the gathered press.
Lots of anger at today’s political establishment.
All in all I haven’t had such fun at a political event since I was at the Hanging Chad protest at the Palm Beach super of election head quarters during the Dole, Bush elections.
One more thing,
Cops, Secret Service, F.B.I. EVERYWHERE.
Except doing traffic duty helping us all get out of the parking lots.
Oh yeah, I did not hear ONE protester.
