GOP nominee Donald Trump said some things that were "very vile" back in the days when he still supported Bill Clinton, but now he's a Christian and Republicans need to forgive him about talking like a Democrat, Rep. Louie Gohmert said Tuesday.
"If you are Bill Clinton's big buddy like he was at one time, you're going to talk like Bill Clinton," the Texas Republican told Fox News' "Fox & Friends" program. "We need to forgive him about talking like big Democrats and other foul-mouthed people. He's a Republican now. And James Dobson says he's a Christian."

Trump should also explain to voters that he made a recent conversion to Christ (according to Dr. Dobson) and he is not the same person (2 Corinthians 5:17) he was 11 years ago.
I believe this would help a lot of Evangelical voters get off the fence and get out and vote for him.
Louie just showed the squeamish GOPers how to finesse this.

One thing has been missed completely in this whole kerfuffle about Trump’s comments a decade ago: there is a class of women who will make themselves available to rich, well-known celebrities, be they super-star athletes, movie stars, rock stars or whatever.
They’re still around today and they’re on the prowl. Trump’s comments were, and still are, accurate.
It’s not the right thing to do, but he was accurate.

Trump is the only candidate who stands for life. With 53 million children murdered since 1973, this is the MOST important issue in this election - everything else pales in comparison. Clinton will only serve to continue the slaughter. Trump will fight for life.

Gohmert has not exactly been a fan of Trump`s this election. At least he appears to understand the binary choice facing the country.
2 Corinthians 5:17 - Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
According to Dr. Dobson, this applies to Donald Trump because of his recent conversion to Christ. He is not the same person he was 11 years ago when those comments were made.
Hillary Clinton did and does vile things on her own, apart from Slick.
For down ticket candidates I am seriously considering not voting for a single one of them. I am so dismayed by the complete stupidity on display by Paul Ryan, John McCain, Kay Granger, Mike Lee, Jason Chaffetz, Mike Crapo and the host of others, that I see no reason why I will support any of the down ticket Republicans. I have no doubt that many of these sanctimonious proclaiming holier than thou are anything but and are probably as guilty of such statements, end even recently. But even it they aren't their behavior is as unacceptable as Trump's statements are that he though were being spoken in private.
I am also very seriously considering changing my party affiliation to Independent. If Trump loses, they are the real reason he lost, not what Trump said, I will never vote for another Republican as long as I live. Because they are aiding and abetting the opposition and giving them stronger ammunition.
I'll quit now before I no longer can contain my anger at the only party I have ever supported. All I can say is, enjoy the drought they have brought upon the party.

Side note, Trump was a democrat when he said those things.
We are living in a very raunchy time. Crude sexual messages are everywhere, on television, movies and music. Is it any wonder that we hear Trump talking the way he did?
And men are not the only ones who add to raunchy culture, women go to see male strippers and it was the women who bought millions of copies of “50 Shades of Gray” and attended that movie of the same name. Now Hillary is acting like she is a Victorian virgin. What a fraud.
Their coming out party has shown us who is in the GOPe harem.

We pretty much knew who they were, but they have really crossed the line this time. Ignoring the base is bad, but purposely sabotaging the party and the base is beyond the pale.
