This is not the Lake Superior wreck. This one is in Texas. The other thread got me to remember hearing about this one when I was younger and living in that area of Texas.

Never recovered only means that they didn’t get it pulled out of the ravine, not that it wasn’t found and inspected.

There was a train wreck on the Rock Island Line about 10 miles from this one in the 1950s in the 1970s about 3-4 cars were still there.
