An Arkansas murder was a practice run for the zombie apocalypse, according to an unusual accusation made by prosecutors in an Arkansas courtroom.
Prosecutors allege that Richard Jordan Tarver, 31, kidnapped a 90-year-old woman from her home in July 2015 and forced her into the trunk of her car. When they got to a nearby cornfield, he allegedly pointed a .38-caliber handgun at the back of her head and fired, killing the elderly woman. Lavinda Counce wasn’t found for ten days.
Prosecutor Grant DeProw told jurors that Tarver binged on zombie television shows and decided to see how he’d fare in the event that truth mirrored fiction.
“He wanted to feel what it felt like to kill someone,” DeProw said.

His life as a free man is over. Some people linger near the frayed edges of sanity and spend too much time gazing at fantasy. Too much time detached from our shared reality.
This is one of the reasons I never thought shows like Dexter were good for society. Not healthy. Most of us can separate real from not real, but some become absorbed in the darkness and prefer that to the light.

I think as Virtual Reality technology improves in video games people like this man will become more common.
My Grandmother turns 90 this December. If this idiot did to her what he did to the other lady, I’d want to see him at the end of a rope hanging from the tallest tree in the country.
One would think that this guy must have been on some powerful drugs, but maybe not. What amazes me is that an outside stimuli, a TV show, affected his behavior.

Take another look. It would appear that he wouldn’t even know what an election is...To spend money on keeping this monster in jail and having a trial is a travesty. Dispense with all of it AND HIM post haste!!! Lamp post, wood chipper, cement mixer, car crusher doesn’t matter! Whatever is the closest and fastest!

Sometimes, mugshots, especially for murder, really make one think the accused is controlled by the devil.
He should have been tried, and hanged a year ago! Even the man who shot at FDR and killed the mayor of Chicago didn’t live beyond 40 days till he visited the electric chair!
