Azzi added that teaching a dog how to sniff out kiddie porn on hard drives is no different than training them how to detect a rotting corpse.
You isolate an odor, Azzi said. Youve got to find the right dog for the job. Nothing more, nothing less.
Ruger is Ohios first computer-sniffing dog and part of a small group of canines fewer than two dozen that do this type of work across the country, according to US Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

"Smell that, girl? Go find more!"
................
"What's taking so long? What is it girl?"
"She says she doesn't do Windows."
Hahahahahahahahahahaha!
The dog should certainly be able to find the BS in this story.
Meanwhile, Veracrypt is your friend.
How is that even possible. I’m skeptical.
I think someone was scammed.
Maybe they can train it to sniff out emails.
This is completely ridiculous!!
Porn doesn’t smell any different on magnetic media than anything else on magnetic media.
The dog is keying off of conscious or unconscious signals from it’s trainer.
Maybe if the dogs were trained to sniff out semen...
if it can find Hillary’s emails that would be SOME dog!
At first glance I thought it said “sniffs out kiddie pork chops.”
don’t let that dog loose in the NYPost editorial office!
There is no “scent” to data bits, especially those encoding pictures.
This is disinformation to let Immigration take a suspect’s computer “with a plausible reason.” Juries will believe this was a reasonable opening gambit to detecting porn, as long as authorities play it up that drugs can be successfully sniffed.
This is completely bogus, though.
That's something Zero is an expert at.
Anthony Weiner’s “Oh, s#it” moment.
Okay....I know just enough about computers to be dangerous....but THIS does not pass the smell test. To coin a phrase.
Of course it is! People who can’t figure out how a thermos knows how to keep your coffee hot or your iced tea cold will buy it though.
This is bs. Data recorded to a hard drive is not going to have a distinct scent based on the nature of the data. Do they need cover for seizing the hard drive of a suspected child pornographer? That’s the only thing that makes sense.
