When I was a young man I used to take my Dates to the Submarine Races.

I don’t think any of them joined the Navy but most of them knew what the term “Up Periscope” meant. #;^)

I’m not sure, but I believe that if she’s not a lesbian or a transsexual, they won’t take her.

Why is it news? Because nothing ever happens in Kansas. Salinas is a nice town though.

Nice coverage KSBW-8! From a retired Navy public affairs officer.

Salinas is a nice town though.

No it's not. Entirely populated with Mexican and El Salvadoran gangs that rule the migrant farmers with an iron fist.

That is the one I am thinking of. I lived there while I was attending NPS.

Oh, Salinias in CA?

It’s an armpit, a horrible place overrun with Mexicans, and where white people don’t feel safe walking down the street.

It’s Tijuana North, which is sad. They had a great rodeo.

Hell, when I was stationed at the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, CA, we were told to stay away from Salinas, for those same reasons, and that was 1987-88.
