A draw.

A draw. No major knockout on either side. Trump stood up for himself when necessary. I don't think it will move the needle, and Krauthammer made a good observation: Draws usually go to the challenger, and that is Donald Trump.

If I were to advise Trump, it would consist of the following:

1) Complete your sentences. You are giving the audience too much credit for figuring out what you mean when you shoot off two or three words.

2) Stop repeating the same point 5 or 6 times. You are wasting time.

3) Speak less to broad concepts and more to the common man.

4) Affability matters. Reagan won on affability. Smile a little more, but not with that forced weird smile Hillary plastered on most of the debate. Also, an affable Reaganesque "There you go again"-style phrase, queued up and ready to go when appropriate, would work wonders.

5) Next time, don't leave those hanging slow pitches unswatted. For example, when Hillary talks about your charity, mention her Clinton Foundation that only gives out 6% of it's money to charitable works. Also, speak more about how Hillary is the DC Establishment, and you are there to challenge that. Many people will identify that as a key takeaway.

On the whole I give Hillary high marks, and Trump close but not as good. Stylistically Hillary did very well, but in content Trump nailed it a few times.

However, he needs to take a reality check and prepare more in a structured debate setting. Obama had a HORRIBLE first debate and came back strong. Trump wasn’t horrible, but he needs to come back strong. I know he can do it.

Let Trump be Trump...it has gotten him through 16 other Repub candidates, the media, the globalists, the Never Trumpers, etc., and he stood toe-to-toe on stage with the world’s “smartest and most prepared to be Presdident candidate” according to the elites. He is not a politician, and will never be. That is his appeal. Let him do what has gotten him this far. Remember, the polls are tied or in his favor and he has the wind at his back. Keep up the pressure, Donald.

Hitlery talked about the importance of cyber security and Trump failed to ask her why she had a server in her bathroom. He needs to prep for next debate. As bad as Holt was Trump had his chances and didn’t exploit them. A draw. I think the status quo candidate only needs to tie to win.

disagree.. major win— you are viewing it as someone who has seen 30 rallies of his— the audience was a 100 million people.. most have never watched a single rally— He took her on about how she created ISIS— how she was has been around for 30 years and has done nothing— her gold standard tpp.. super-predators-— her emails being way more than a mistake including her people taking the fifth.. her destruction of the middle east.. etc..

I totally agree. Trump was far from playing his best game. Hillary was smooth but kept looking down and came across as smarmy.

Weird. The more time goes by and I can review the debate the more I think Trump edged her out. Bottom line:

Trump is REAL

Hillary is FAKE

Was Trump thinking of Hillary’s treatment of Bill’s rape accusers when he said that couldn’t mention it?

"Each side is more discerning and critical of their candidate than the other. Our threads are filled with "Trump should have said this, this, this and this"

Yours is an excellent point. Brought it to this thread."

Thank You Laz!

What we witnessed was a double team of moderator and Hillary against Trump. He repressed his natural combativeness because of what others told him.

His bright spots were instant responses. He is much faster to comprehend and respond than Hillary.

She was incredibly well coached. Mostly canned talking points. Content was not good, but sounded good. Typical leftist dribble.

They sure had Hillary pumped with vitamins. Wonder if it will have a noticeable hangover next few days?

Just curious ... was Hillary fed the questions before the debate??

The whole “cyberwarfare” question was too suspicious ... who would have expected that question in this debate?

Yet there Hillary was, with her detailed and lengthy 2-minute answer, obviously NOT thought up on-the-spot ... how did she know THAT question would be asked??

really .... fishy

90 Minutes.

Hillary, while she had the energy, won the first 20.

Trump just ran all over her and the moderator for the last hour. He was in charge of the debate.

Trump wins a draw. The mushy middle can’t stand Clinton, but need to believe that Trump is at least somewhat “Presidential”. Mission accomplished.

If you were advising Trump, would we have to support Bush the way we did romney? You can be a loser your whole life, or get on board the Trump Train.

I have some calligraphy for you.

He really gave more facts than she did—if he could get them out without being interrupted by Lest-We-Bolt. Starting with the 2-year-old birthday made me barf. Guess it was to humanize the old witch.

A poll from Drudge is like polling FreeRepublic or Huffington Post.

Agree strongly on #1. Those of us who closel follow events understand exactly what he was talking about; unfortunately the LIV’s - at times - might have been clueless.

Otherwise, not a bad performance by the non-politician.

I agree.

She is an accomplished debater, with no obligation to maintain any relationship with the truth.

As I reminded my daughter, she’s voting for a leader to guide the country, not a well-versed show-pony with a trail of wreckage

She was on attack mode most of the night and gave no legitimate reason for voting for her.

By the reaction on the debate thread, you would think Hildebeast gave the "Cross of Gold" speech.
