People are confused by the fires.
This is the Galaxy Android Firestarter App.
It is a featured app.

I’m waiting for the S9. :-}
The old S4 is doing fine.
The S8 looks good too if rumor holds.

A Samsung spokesman said on Friday that the issue is completely unrelated to batteries, calling the incidents isolated cases related to mass production issues. He added that the company was conducting close examinations of the issue. -
Wall Street Journal.
This is just more FUD from a couple of unconfirmed sources in South Korea. A non-issue.

I predict they may reconsider the value of doing away with replaceable battery’s. That is a good thing.

Well, there is ONE very good thing Apple does well, not perfect, but very well: TESTING! Things work well with Apple. Not always (my iPhone 4 dialed 911 for just about every voice command), but this Samsung problem would be very surprising if an Apple product did this.
Who is running that disaster of a company at Samsung?? Even their appliances are becoming a consumer nightmare. Their phones are having inexcusable problems.
Sad things is, no one will lose their job over this. They’ll all just chalk it up to a “technical glitch” and pay themselves billions in bonuses.
