Advice For Donald Trump -- 1st Debate on Monday 9/26/16 - Vanity
Vanity | 09/22/16 | petercooper

Posted on 09/22/2016 10:14:28 AM PDT by petercooper

Let's list some tips from FReepers to Donald Trump for the debate Monday night. I'll begin.

1. Have a coherent response to "How are you going to get Mexico to pay for the wall?" question. It will come up.

2. Do not mention Hillary's ill health, and don't pull a Rick Lazio and walk over with a lozenge when she starts coughing.

3. Have info about the Middle East-- countries, cities (Aleppo), allies, current outlook, strategies to fight ISIS, alQueda etc... on the tip of your tongue.

4. Have an answer to "Why did you donate $100,000 to the Clinton Foundation a few years ago?"

5. Don't dwell on polls, or trade deals, or the 16 Republicans you beat out to win the nomination.

He needs to turn his “lack of experience”, which will be brought up, into a positive.

Political experience is what has got the country to the mess it’s in today. Trump has REAL experience running things. His lack of political experience is a plus.

The best zingers have been spontaneous, vicarious expression of the audience’s exasperation.

Example...Reagan: ‘There you go again.’

Hillary will have more canned answers than Abbott And Costello. She will also have canned mini-speeches.

Trump should simply wait a beat and look at her quizzically and say: ‘What ARE you on about?’ It will elicit nervous laughter and wrong-foot Hitlery.

Get Sleep not just the day before but both days before the debate... Maybe even 3 days. His reaction time will be better if he does.

Nice idea, but we are operating in a vacuum when it comes to modern, media controlled "debates"

ANYthing reasonably proposed doesn't even exist in the mind of the anti-American ... except maybe as a teaching tool to learn how to destroy individual liberty and freedom.

Participate in the debate in the same manner as he conducts himself a business meeting.

Along the lines of getting sleep, they will usually release BS the night before the debate to lessen his sleep the night before thendebate.... START GETTING SLEEP ALL THREE DAYS/NIGHTS BEFORE THE DEBATE.. Reation time and him just being him are the most important things for his debates against Hillary.

Being a long time monthly donor to Mr Trump. I received by email a survey on the first debate.

I completed a survey of what to cover and added a couple of specific comments.

If someone asks how are you going to help pay for their college education,a kitchen in their house, their food, make sure you tell them,ITS NOT THE JOB OF THE PRESIDENT TO PAY FOR ANY OF THOSE THINGS!
As an American it’s your job to educate yourself make yourself valuable to employers of which with me as President, there will be plenty because I will make the situation in this country attractive to do business, not move out!

“He needs to turn his “lack of experience”, which will be brought up, into a positive.”

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kygB-PA2ibs

I remember Reagan’s “I will not make age an issue of this campaign. I am not going to exploit, for political purposes, my opponent’s youth and inexperience.”

“We know where political experience has brought us.”

“Those with political experience created a national debt of $20T, which is inhibiting job creation and putting an unjust burden on our children and grandchildren.”

“Those with political experience contributed to the chaos in the Arab World, which has given ISIS such fertile territory for recruiting and radicalizing the young.”

“Those with political experience have favored policies that trample the spirit of the Bill of Rights and could easily be read as violating the Constitution.”

“I am here to restore the sort of government that those who have for so long lived under those with political experience wish they had. I am here to displace those who created the problems that have built and festered for so many years.
- Political experience has led to terrorist attacks as the new normal, and I will not accept violence against the innocent as normal.
- Political experience has led to black unemployment at twice the rate for whites as the new normal, and the withdrawal of millions of Americans from the work force. I will not accept writing off so many Americans with so much potential as normal.
- Political experience has led to more than 11 million illegal immigrants in many cases being paid below minimum wage as the new normal, and I will not accept this widespread exploitation as normal.

In six weeks, the voters have an opportunity to decide that my business experience will be far more valuable in fixing the problems that have accumulated in our country than decades within government. When I take office, I intend to prove that they were correct. As an outsides here to promote positive changes, my goal is not to preserve today’s problems as wedge issues to keep one party in power. My goal is to fix those problems.

I also completed the survey and it is good to see DT welcomes and values input from his supporters.

He has learned how to be himself with some finesse. He’s much better now that he has refined himself.

When attacked ask questions.

Hillary is this how you make friends and influence people? On what basis do you call me and my supporters racists, homophobes, mysoginist etc? What other parts of the constitution and Bill of Rights would you diminish?
What does “shall not be abridged” mean?

Apparently he’s not preparing with mock debates like Hillary is doing all week. I know he did well without prep in the primaries but this is a different story. (I too hope he stops talking about how he beat sixteen other candidates)

On the other hand, people may appreciate the honesty and truthfulness from Trump as compared the canned responses coming from Hillary.

Mr. Trump has gotten help with what has just happened in Charlotte, NC. Law and order must be stressed.
