Pollsters do not care about accuracy they are in it for the $$$$$$$$, and they make Tons of $$$$$$$ in election years. Results can be bought. There are so many ways to skew the results including: just stop calling when the desired results are obtained, or reuse old call lists, or just pencil it in, etc.
Clinton camp invented and uses “AstroTurf (fake grass roots) politics with great effect. Do not be fooled by their fake issues. Football terms: don’t look at the scoreboard, just get out and vote or Kiss Liberty Goodbye.

One of the first States reporting results was Rhode Island which went for Reagan and you could see the shock and dismay on the commentators faces. That was a fun night.
