A maid of honor carried a bride's beloved dog down the aisle this month when the pup was too weak to meet her and the groom at the end.

I like dogs, but I’m sorry - dogs are not people. IMHO this is misplaced sentimentality.
Sweet, but someone could just held the dog, while sitting in church.
After so many years with her beloved dog, it makes perfect sense to me. But then, I’m a hard core German Shepherd person.
Sweet story.
A lot of dogs are better than a lot of people...
Read the story...The bride and also the groom are veterinarians...It meant something to them...That’s what counts...
So what? Not your wedding. And most dogs are better than most people. That’s just a fact.
I bet you didn’t get invited, did you?
It was an outdoor wedding.
Bride and groom both veterinarians, outdoor ceremony. Not so outrageous. The dogs probably the most stable part of her life for the last 15 years.
I’m sorry but I think you don’t understand. My dog is kinder, more thoughtful, and more loving than most people I know. I’m closer to her than they, including many family members.
And the right dog would really appreciate being part of the pack.
Sad for the dog. Why not let him rest in comfort.
The dog was probably happier to be in her presence...
Same here. I used to be one of those cold souls that didn’t respect what they were either. Then got shanghaied with one. After a few months of suspicion both ways, I could out that there is far more going on in a dog’s head than we’ll ever know. They are good people and loyal to the end. That’s why God has us outlive them. They’d be more lost than us if it was the other way around.
Amen.
Amen- It’s a butt licking leg humping critter and nothing more.
And you are an ass.
The vet put my dog down on my wedding anniversary. It was a shock, but I’ll never forget the date.
“And you are an ass.”
I wish FR had a “like button” for your post. Dogs are more loyal & loving than most people. Anyone who dislikes dogs is untrustworthy.
