This is at least cute.

Several don't like the new Metallica, but most are converted after they hear more.

The glamor of evil is seductive.

Enter Sandman would have been a better song to play for the kids. Its a well known song that achieved mainstream status. And it still rocks!

What is evil about Metallica? Their sound?

See post #6.

It's a song James Hetfield wrote for his son who was afraid of the dark.

It’s easier to get people indoctrinated into the occult while they are young.

That was off of their newest album. If you put aside their BS politics, Metallica can still rock.

I had to fire up Enter Sandman about halfway through. I’m a 36 year old metalhead. No apologies!

Some of those kids actually looked like they were still sane . . . shame that some would again try to hook another generations of Americans on Satanism.

And those that will shortly come out to support their musical heroes are already deeply steeped in the occult though they will either not admit it or are simply unaware of it.

Satan does appear as an ‘angel of light.’ and by such will deceive multitudes. Thank God for the presence of His Son Jesus Christ in my life.

"shame that some would again try to hook another generations of Americans on Satanism"

That's clearly the most ridiculous statement I've heard in all my years on Free Republic.

34 here which means I was 9 when Enter Sandman came out. Haven’t listened to any Metallica from after then.

My mom had a paper route since I was a baby. She had a procedure, and I had to take over her paper route from her for a summer while she recuperated. I had Metallica on my Walkman that entire summer. Load and Reload were not terrible albums. They don’t represent the metal phase the 80s had to offer, but as far as mainstream rock, they stood against others in the genre.

Do you know if Dave Mustaine of Megadeth is an agent of evil or if he’s a good guy? He is a born again Christian after battling a hideous narcotics addiction. He still plays metal .. that includes a lot of cool stuff from his addiction days. He doesn’t deny his past ... Its what made him who he is today. I don’t worship him ... However, I respect him as addiction is a powerful demon and requires a lot of faith to destroy.

I don’t think Jesus really cares much about the music by the way ... Hero worship can happen in any form of music ... I mean, how does “worshiping” a metal band differ from worshiping a Christian rock group?

I’ve listened to bands like Megadeth, Metallica, and Iron Maiden most of my life and never had an urge to conjure a demon or reject God and Jesus Christ. Metallica may have been possessed when they released garbage like ... And Justice for All, Load, Reload, St. Anger, and Death Magnetic, but they seemed to find that awesome Kill ‘em All/Ride the Lightning early 80s sound ... That means that they’re no longer possessed by some guy named Stan in my book.
