Shaq on Colin Kaepernick’s national anthem protest: ‘How come he didn’t do it last year?’

”I mean to each his own, something I wouldn’t do,” O’Neal said on Fox and Friends on Wednesday. “I don’t really have a say on it but I would never do that. My father was a military man and he protected this country — uncles are in law enforcement, they go out and work hard every day. Just, you know, there are other ways to get your point across.”

He also questioned the timing of the protest, given that Kaepernick had just lost his starting position as quarterback.

”Again, my thing is, you have to enter onto the scene one way. People like Muhammad Ali and Bill Russell, they were one way their whole career. You can’t show us something and then go to another just because of certain issues,” he said.

Shaq is a sensible guy. Great sense of humor too.

Because last year, he wasn’t a Moslem.

Bingo, nailed it.

Kaepernick was not regarded as an a-hole before he met the Muslim D.J. and before he lost his starting QB job.

Shaq definitely has a point. Why didn’t he protest last year? Why right now, just weeks away from an election wherein one candidate is distinctively sympathetic to the Muslim brotherhood and may have been subject to a Huma (honey pot) trap. Seems more and more like a designer distraction from the rent-a-mob crowd.

Now I hear the Seattle Sea-hags will take a knee during their game on 9-11. I'm done with the NFL. I would love to see where these players would be right now if they grew up living in Africa. They disrespect a country that has been damn good to them.

Maybe it’s because he wasn’t a Muslim last year?

One sportscaster said he thought Colon Claperdick was bemoaning his lack of success and his sit out pity party was interrupted by a microphone shoved in his face so he had to make something up quick to save face. If he really wanted to help anyone he would not alienate those he needed to get help form or he might even spend some of his wealth to those oppressed.

Why not last year? Because the BLM/Islamist honey trap wasn’t in place at the time. Sex can make the immature mind very malleable.

Actually he’s the same as he always was - a ungrateful punk classless, loser.

He was caught on camera back in 2014 without his hand over his heart. This is nothing but disrespect and laziness. It has nothing to do with oppression or BLM. This “oppression” bs is a quickly formulated excuse because someone called him on it.

I’m going to the Seahawks game on 9/11. I’ve supported them since about 79 (moving here from Denver - big Bronco fan then). If they do this I will be totally PISSED and they will here from me - no more support, game tickets, gear, etc.

Watched Shaq with Bear Grylls on A Man vs Wild episode the other night and he mentioned the patriots / soldiers in his family and was a real cut up as usual. Funny guy who’s smart enough to know to avoid talking politics on TV shows thus far. Hopefully he’ll keep it that way.

Go ahead Seahawks kills your ticket sales for the season. People are tired of hearing politicians grandstand thinking they are somebody when all they are, are puppets we want to see play a stupid sports game. You could replace any one of them with another with the same type of experience and skills and it would work. It’s not like they’re in short supply.
