I live twenty miles north of the 45th parallel, and as a matter of fact, our business used to be named Latitude 45. Mosquitos are such a small threat as to be ignored up here. I associate with people who pose absolutely no risk to anyone, as Zika is largely a tropical disease spread by people who choose to frequent southern latitudes and cultures. The scare-mongers can ply their boogie man stories elsewhere.
Meanwhile last year: About 3.2 billion people nearly half of the world’s population are at risk of malaria. In 2015, there were roughly 214 million malaria cases and an estimated 438,000 malaria deaths. Not a peep out of any news service, government agency, etc. I guess it’s not political enough like this Zika thing or that ebola scare.
I am reminded of the media’s screeching about the Avian Flu “PANDEMIC” several years back and the HUGE award by the government to a pharmaceutical company for a vaccine that was never used. I’m sure members of Congress profited nicely from that. Hillary too.
Population control.
There’s that word , “Could” again = no chance
Not to be jaded or anything but what happen ed to the Nile virus we were all supposed to get about 5 years ago?
Good Call !..and quite true.
Perhaps it is because Zika threatens our shore that Zika control and containment has recently been emphasized.
As I recall, pharma believes they will have a vaccine by 2018.
Almost had malaria wiped out way back until what’s her name crusaded to ban DDT because of song birds or some such nonsense. Liberals kill.
Thanks for the tour of Walmart People. Euwww!
