Hope you enjoy. Harden My Heart
music *ping*
That was a good song, great for live performances at a nightclub. The singer was great on her sax. Her voice was not
super, in a Whitney Houston like way, but, her worn and weary tones suited this song. That was their biggest hit.
I was in the Navy on a wooden ship back then (yes, wooden!), a Minesweeper in Charleston, South Carolina.
I always liked this song.
reallly good tune.
Brings me back to the good old days.
Remember when people would listen to the current music stations and not be stuck having to listen to the classic hit stations like today?
Wow - I remember them.
That was a *great* album.
Quarterflash also did the theme song for the 1982 movie “Night Shift”.
I can’t supply the link but you should watch the video “Take Me To Heart” from their ‘83 album. Timothy B Schmit and Joe Walsh did background vocals and guitar on it.
Part of her stage act was to take polaroid pictures of the audience and give them to the audience. At a show in Seattle she took a photo my friend and I who were battling to stay up front for the headline act. She handed my friend the picture and he has it to this day.
When I saw Linda Ronstadt’s “What’s New” tour in Cleveland’s outdoor Blossom Music Center, Quarterflash was the opening act.
Q-flash was very entertaining - singer had a great voice.
Linda was extraordinary....
Bought the album. The rest of it was not nearly that good.
I remember that song from “Night Shift”......and “Harden My Heart”.......great songs. Good group......good memories.
