My son is on a five day yearly visit, so don’t expect me around much. Grade your own work, or each other’s. I’ll be here when and while I can.

Too many people think government
Is something that heaven sent
To unfurl
A perfect world
So they believe in politicians’ blandishments

In the rainy hills of NY, yes. San Jose has had a drought and he hasn’t seen rain since spring. And he is sleeping in still.

Enjoy your son! I am so fortunate to have my kids and grandson local, I can’t complain to any of my friends about missing Gord and xsteen and xsSIL bc they’ve gone to the beach in ocean city NJ for a week. None of their kids live nearby so they don’t want to hear it!

They say that the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach. So, if you’re invited to a woman’s home on a date, you might be expecting her to woo you with steak, baked potatoes, and perhaps, a nice bottle of Bordeaux. If, instead, she serves you a bowl of oatmeal, it should be pretty obvious what that bland dish meant.

A Portland, Oregon reporter's blandishment of his gun failed to entice or encourage the approaching BLM crowd to back away.

"I’m backing up, they kept coming towards me. They kept coming towards me. That’s why I drew. I was outnumbered, they were pushing and shoving me, they were using their flagstaffs as weapons. I was backing up, they kept coming towards me. I feared for my life they had weapons,” Michael Strickland said.

(Notes...1) see note at bottom of article for BLM reference, 2) substituting blandishment for brandishing...just for funsies.)

Hope you enjoy the visit!

A staffer who crosses Hillary
Might have more than regrets-
To assure loyalty she employs
Not blandishments but threats

Of the probable consequences
Of whispering in the wrong ear
Some juicy tidbit about herself
Could just make you disappear

If you’re lucky-you’ll be ruined
And cast into the political dark
But if not-you could be found
Arkancided in a public park...

I saw that there was another complainer visiting class yesterday, and I never see the point of their bitching-the object of class is to play with words not used every day-if they aren’t into that, what the hell are they doing here complaining? They can always start their own daily word thread-call it words everyone uses daily-or something like that...

#1 ocean city MD is a dive compared to ocean city NJ, and #2, the other grandparents own a beach house in ocean city NJ, so the kids are staying for free, and being fed etc. I’ve not yet been, but ocean city NJ is supposedly quite nice, and the inlaws have gone there since his xsSIL’s childhood.

Doesn’t like to see people playing with words and getting a laugh or two from it, I guess...

Your suggestion had too many letters. I suggest the word “is” for the next complainer.
