I wouldn't place any money on the NRA pushing back on this — they seem to be altogether too happy to have the threat of confiscation so that they can keep their Oh-no! Politician X is going to take your guns, send money!

It honestly reminds me of the Republican party's all-talk/no-action policies, abortion and ObamaCare come immediately to mind: they claim to wish both gone yet do nothing substantive against them… especially frustrating is that they could force one to go down by citing the constitutional right to privacy of medical records
of Roe v. Wade as grounds for kicking the ACA (ObamaCare) out, raising the issue as a suit to the Supreme Court and forcing them to choose to throw one out or prove that they have no intention of seeing the law consistent.
Perhaps you could stick to ONE ISSUE in ONE PARAGRAPH?
Your verbiage of a post here reminds me of a white male set up caller on the Howie Carr Show WHYN 560 Springfield Mass- who calls in every so often complaining he has exhausted his foodstamps, has exhausted his cash benefit , has run out pain meds days early and no has no money for his cream sherry or to pay for porn or a prostitute & all the while shot-gunning questions to Howie.
He also regularly calls into Coast to Coast with long detailed questions about the universe, the planets that surround us and the galaxy we live in all the while claiming a degree in astrophysics.
Your post reminds me of all of that.
