The purpose of religion is to make people better, not to give them outdated practices to follow and tell them that that’s the way to win favor with God.

The purpose of religion is to make people better, not to give them outdated practices to follow and tell them that that’s the way to win favor with God. What outdated practices to follow?
A righteous man regardeth the life of his beast: but the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel. (Proverbs 12:10)?

The Bible has quite a few passages on this topic. Christians are to take good care of their animals.

No one - not you - not me - not Amish - not Muslims - not
Christians - no one - is going to be made worthy by their
“perfect” works. If they were; then Christ would not have
had to pay the penalty for sin by his death on the cross.
However, the Amish man who mistreated the horse is a ASS!

All religions, except one, instruct followers how to reach some sort if eternal paradise. And that is through leading some sort of good life.
Except Christianity, which teaches that we can't be good enough. Jesus fulfilled the law for all who believe.
