RALEIGH (WTVD) -- A Wake County man was left bruised and bloodied in the street after he was jumped in downtown Raleigh. The victim tried fighting back against the suspects, but says he was outnumbered.
The attack happened last weekend as he left on bar and was walking down Davie Street near Chavis Way with two friends.
He asked to remain anonymous.
"I got hit so hard I saw stars. It's just like a flash, you can't think straight for a bit," the victim said.
He was knocked out cold at one point. The victim says four or five people threw him to the ground and were standing over him kicking and punching. He took repeated blows to the head.

Ok, here is another fool who is just walking around with his head in rectal defilade. Damn it, there are groups of ferals walking around just looking for the opportunity to do this.
And he had two friend with him, none armed.
When five ferals are doing Riverdance on your back, you are legitimately justified in using deadly force. If they are doing it on your friend’s back, you are justified in shooting.
PC is getting people hurt and killed because some people will not take the steps needed to protect themselves. The police cannot legally profile, but a citizen better learn it as a survival technique.
Avoid the groups, cross the street, you then force them to change their plans, which is to either walk past then sucker punch you from behind or to ask you some stupid distracting question, like “What time is it?” Everyone has a cell phone and should know what time it is.
If they cross the street to follow you, you have been notified of their intent to assault you. You will know by their body language of their intent. If outnumbered, your gun does not good in the leather, get it out at the low ready and put an obstacle between you and them. Be prepared that they may try to flank you.
Assume at least one is carrying a gun. Just because they back up does not mean that are done with the encounter. You just resisted their efforts and they are going to punish you for that. The one carrying the gun is going to try and flank you, in street parlance, “dome you” while another is talking, trying to distract you. Remember, time is distance, distance is time. Put some between you, if they advance, then they were warned, defend yourself.
As soon as you can get out of there, hoof it. They will call more homies and have stash guns nearby, they will be hunting for you. They don’t accept disrespect from the others in the hood, and they sure aren’t going to take it from you.
Some people say never contact the police, I say if you don’t these punks may have been filming you and then they control the narrative. They will edit the film and then you will be racist, out of control guy with a gun, brandishing and threatening them.
Also don’t walk home alone from the bar.
The victim is white and an idiot. He was walking east on Davie Street near Chavis Way which in is Southeast Raleigh. Nothing good happens on East Davie Street late at night. The police presence will keep downtown Raleigh relatively safe, but if you walk a few blocks away in the wrong direction at night, you could be in for a rough time if you are not packing.
It’s obvious that it was blacks who attacked a white. Whites are victims offered up on the altar of political correctness so that the dems will get more black votes.

Even if you are carrying and successfully defend yourself from the physical assault, the legal and financial assault that will follow will be just as punishing.
First rule of a gunfight is don’t be in one. The best way to do that is don’t be stupid. (I can’t remember if I should credit Cooper, Ayoob or who for this). Don’t do stupid things, don’t hang around with stupid people.
You have correctly pointed out that the activity our victim was engaging is was stupid. Not criminally, and God how I hate surrendering my freedom of movement to ferals but the cost-benefit ratio for pub crawling on the margins of Indian Country is way out of whack.

Currently contracting downtown on Davie Street. In by 6:30am, out by 4pm. Walk a block down Blount (outer perimeter of the safe zone) from the parking deck to the office. It’s actually pretty nice during the day. But you’re right. It’s just a matter of a block or two. And if this guy lives near Chavis, somebody probably conned him into paying a couple of grand in rent or mortgage for the convenience and “privilege” of living and working in such a diverse community.

Bear repellent is milder than the pepper spray used for defense against humans. Get the kind for use against humans.
Get it from a firearms dealer. Ask for a can that will spray a narrow stream for the greatest distance.

Wasp and hornet killer shoots 15 feet, is non-lethal, and will stop an attacker in his tracks. With pepper spray, the attacker has to be so close that he may still be able to do harm and you may suffer the effects of the spray yourself.
