He didn't just forget - he was passed out drunk.
That is a great tip. So if I am cracking open my third beer and wonder, “why is my left foot cold?” I will remember to go find the baby. Got it.
Please tell me you have no kids....
Bingo!
Good answer!
You don't. Only an irresponsible moron forgets. I've forgotten my camera in the car. Or a soda bottle. Or my hat. But they aren't number one in my life. My kids are number one, and are never forgotten. You get them out of the car, same as you make sure you have pants and shoes on when you leave your house. No excuse. Ever.
Yup.
One wonders why the mother of those twins trusted her drunken spouse (or ex-spouse) with their precious daughters.
Never broke a window yet for kids, but I will...
There needs to be an ignition interlock electrically connected to the children’s car seat that, when it’s occupied, sounds a loud alarm upon ignition turn off. There are far too many of these horrendous incidents.
Have you had any kids since car seats were required to be in the back seat? When was the last time you drove for a considerable distance with a sleeping baby? Have you ever intended to do an errand when you went out and later realized that you forgot to do it?
I don’t have kids. I simply cannot fathom how someone could “forget” the kids are in the car.
Your list provides no answer.
The answer is usually drugs.
Wow. Not all Moms want to stay home.
I work and so does the hubs. None of our four children were ever left in a hot or any other kind of car. They’ve never been in trouble. They do well in school. The grown ones are a Priest and a corrections officer.
Sexist much?
Yes it is. Have a look.
It even has a handy conversion scale.
It works well. Much better than a coat hanger. Made in the USA. Being aluminum it flattens back out pretty well.
When you slide it in the car it tends to head past the steering wheel so I slide it in far enough to get a range on the door controls. Then I pull it back and bend it so when I slide it back in and it hits the bends it curves back to the door. It is stiff enough to press the first switch you get. Door lock or any of the windows. Ba-da-boom ba-da-bing
(It does take a couple of tweaks to get the bends right but I was in and done in short order.)
When car seats were in the FRONT passenger seat we did not see this level of young children being left in cars. It was not until the FEDS forced children into the back seats we saw these type incidents soar.
I think the writers numbers are off it’s more like 34 this year alone with these to little angels being added to the list.
I don’t like the government telling me they know better how to take care of my kid than I do. But they don’t. So I don’t care
When we were growing up we rode around with no seat belts. We all crowded up front and in back When there was a bad crash the passenger up front always got it the worst. It’s statistically true but I’ve seen it
My kids didn’t ride up front in that bumper car kingdom they call San Antonio until they were practically adults
