Brazilian firemen stole Zika-protective shirts from Australia's residence during an evacuation, when a laptop was also pinched and other computer equipment rifled through. Australian team boss Kitty Chiller says she crossed paths with the thieves at the height of Friday's fire drama at the Olympic athletes' village. At the time, Chiller's initial thought was the shirts may have been given to the firemen by Australian team members as thanks for helping them evacuate.

Rio may be the last Olympic.
Unless changes are made.
They have become too expensive and too dangerous.
I think the only thing that can save them is to create a permanent Olympic venue preferably on an island with restrictive access.

One thing that we can be sure of that these Olympics will have in common with all the games of the last 50 years: The winning athletes in almost every event are cheating with steroids, stimulants and blood doping, all financed by their nations’ official Olympic organizations.

Brazil did a great job with the World Cup, but to host that and the Olympics within two years, in a country that has multiple issues to overcome, was not a good idea.

Yeah...but I was robbed in a TSA security line. Money in the bin when entering machine, after I get patted down and get back to my things the money is gone.
They told me it “wasn’t their responsibility” - half a dozen of them standing around. Amazing.
...that said, there’s going to be plenty of this stuff happening in Rio, it’s no secret.

I think Phelps pees in every pool he swims in— sort of marking his territory. I think I read that somewhere, so it may or may not be accurate.

This says it all.
ISIS could bribe some in the security forces to look the other way while they prepare to do their dirty deeds.
Drudge had a story about ISIS possibly using a Dirty bomb in Rio.

Choosing the host city so far in advance is a problem when it’s not in a first world country, and even then. Brazil was doing well 8 years ago but its recent romance with socialism, plus the Zikka mosquito, sent it down the gurgler fast.

I just came out of a very productive meeting. Something about migrating databases, or something. Anyway, used that time wisely. Haikus:
Robbed at airport
Shot in taxi over
Rio bucket list!
Phelps has weird feeling
The water here feels thicker
It's "Rio Pudding"
Brown logs in water
Curious, he brings to nose:
Not a candy bar!
Trying to score drugs
Phelps gets raped, murdered, Zika'd
Welcome to Rio!
Firemen rob you
And the police sell you drugs
a 3rd world hell hole
Corn's a staple food
Favela eat lots of it
Now it's in Phelps' mouth
