They are so cute...and I think they know it.
Will the cats standby and let the raccoon eat the food?
LOLOL!!
It's one particularly little raccoon who started coming up as a baby. He's not aggressive but he doesn't give up.
Often, when I get up in the morning, his little face is pressed against my patio door.
I don't feed him too much since there is plenty of healthier eats in the woods behind my house.
Made me laugh. Saving it to show my husband ; )
Does he let you touch him? One time, late at night, we went out to the carport & a small opossum & our most mellow cat were just hanging out together. It was quite sweet.
Mine do. They just sit there and stare. *shrugs*
I have three generations now coming to my feeds off the back deck. The grandmother (Miss BG) always touches her nose to my hand or bare leg as a greeting. Her daughter (Mischief) now brings Seamus and Begg to feed and she too touches the nose to my skin as a greeting. Little Seamus comes right into the house and searches around. He would fit easily into my shoe and he climbs into my lap for his oatmeal cookie treats. Mischief’s sister (a near twin) is bringing her five little ones now. I feed them out in the grass of the yard so they learn to forage. But I must admit feeding BG, Mischief and now Seamus and Begg right from my hand is a delight. BG just came to the door a few minutes ago and rang the raccoon doorbell I rigged, to get her ‘early dinner’. She doesn’t like to eat in a crowd dontchaknow.
A raccoon that size should not be that skinny. That poor little guy was starving. Glad he got a taste to go ... funny stuff that voice over!
Too cute! They are funny to watch. We had twin baby possums that showed up a few years ago. Scruffy and Fluffy. Smelled to high heavens!
Can’t touch him but he doesn’t run from me. He keeps a safe distance, but he seems to trust that I care about him.
That must have made you feel superior.
