Read the book “Helter Skelter” by candlelight at night.
It will give you the creeps all the way to your spine.
I read it when I was 12, hello mom & dad?????, and it really horrified me in a way no other book has. I love reading & nothing comes close to the horror of “Helter Skelter.”
I think Manson was/is right about one thing: He’s a reflection of the socio-pathological culture that created him.
Now, as if 1968 didn’t suck enough the first time, they “recreated” it.
I guess that’s the nature of what puts the Usefulness in Useful Idiots... in the context of the book of Romans.
When I was a senior in high school our sociology class assignment was to do a presentation on a group, cult, sect, etc. I chose the Manson Family. The book was both terrifying and fascinating. I couldn’t sleep well for months afterward. I would stay up late constantly checking the locks on all the doors to the house. It really creeped me out.
I often wonder about the medical examiner who had to do the autopsies on the victims and how it affected him or her. The murders were so horrific, especially Sharon Tate and her unborn baby.
