This is a normally very left wing show but every now and then they slipped up. This is one of those times. Mike is exposed as a narrow minded, condescending left wing bigot who is just as irrational and stubborn as Archie. This is real humor and it could not appear on TV today. Very, very funny for a conservative to watch this with someone who is a PC liberal.

The entire Democratic Party, circa 2016, is a rerun of “All In The Family,” circa 1974.
Every single one of their “causes” is 40-50 years old. They just keep stirring them up in an attempt to keep themselves “relevant.”
Their nostalgia has a body count.

Is that the one where they put their backs to each other to play? lol
And he gets so mad, he storms off with the game?
I always found the underlying theme that he owes Archie EVERYTHING for housing and feeding him during his school years to be very ironic.
But if that’s the episode, it was a classic!!

You know, I’ve SEARCHED that one out to watch it and couldn’t find it. Thanks.
At the end, he hugs Archie and says “I understand” lol

it could not appear on TV today. Another one of my favorite shows from the 90's that could never be repeated today is In Living Color. it was brilliantly audacious in it's skewering of racial stereotypes and bucking social conventions of the time. Try playing that for the BLM crowd and see what they say.

Loved that show. Besides the Wayans brothers, that show helped launch Jim Carrey.
