PERRIS [California] – Multiple reports of a highly agitated man on the I-215 freeway in Perris brought an overwhelming response from California Highway Patrol officers and Riverside County Sheriff’s deputies this morning, Sunday, July 24, A CHP official confirmed. Callers told CHP dispatchers the man was armed with multiple rifles
A CHP incident log showed the first of numerous 911 calls began to flood into the CHP Temecula Border Station at about 5:40 a.m.
Multiple callers reported seeing a man laying on the ground near the center divider of the freeway. Callers said the alleged suspect was armed with at least one rifle. Two rifles were later located inside or near the man’s vehicle, which was described as a gold SUV
The man, who was seen repeatedly jumping over the center divider from the northbound to the southbound sides of the freeway, was taken into custody at about 6 a.m.

Perris is in the Inland Empire, probably an hour and a half from LA, depending on traffic. Until recently it was an agricultural area, now it’s getting built out.
Very high population of illegals in the area.
Several miles north of me. As you can see, it wasn’t me—I’m not in custody. Anyway, I seldom lay down near the center divider, armed or not.
