Matt Damon returns to movie theatres on July 29 as Jason Bourne in his fourth appearance as the amnesiac special ops agent. And director Paul Greengrass has revealed that in the finished film, the actor, 45, has just 25 lines of dialogue. That's led to speculation that the star, who got paid $25 million for last year's The Martian, was likely paid at least $1 million for each line he spoke.

Love them all and excited about the next. Ignoring politics, this series of books and movies is thrilling.

I hope he was worth the money.
I too have never seen a “Bourne movie”, and never will.
Not even interested in watching them on the Chinese pirated movie site.

He knows that many words?

On the one hand, just 25 lines of dialogue from Matt Damon is a godsend. On the other hand, it sounds like he is just in for a glorified cameo appearance so they can use his image on the posters. How else could he have such limited dialogue?
Red flags, people.

Didn’t get it from me. Won’t PAY to see a gun grabbing hypocrite.

It is all about foreign box office. Big name star plus few lines of dialogue with lots of explosions etc = foreign gold.

I like them. Almost 100% free of swear words. One of the older CIA guys takes the Lord’s name in vain once. Mrs. JohnnyP can’t watch because of that.

“The Martian” was a rip-off of “Mission to Mars”. It was well done, but still the story was done before.

Did you watch INTERSTELLAR with Mathew McConaughey? It was the very same character. Same jackhole in a space suit and to top it off, the co-star was ALSO from Interstellar.

[ Never watched a “Bourne” movie. ]
I was gonna buy the set years ago - then I found out what an insane leftist Matt Damon truly is. I already owned “Ocean’s 11”.
He is truly a liberal kook, though. Just like his buddy Ben Affleck.

The Martian was a rip-off of Mission to Mars. Wasn't that a great ending on 'Mission to Mars' with that hologram explaining things!

Yes, big concept, although I had a little problem with the Martians seeding the Earth with their DNA and watching it grow from microbes to man. It didn’t make since, but then, I’m a sci-fi guy from my youth.
