I thought Freddie Mercury was dead. (Just my take, when I saw the image). I was more concerned about the three police officers having to stare at his genitals while they were trying to talk him down. Give this punk a job busting big rocks into little rocks in the correctional system. Oh wait... we don’t do that anymore.
It is significantly more difficult for male models. A female model, using the same ruse, would by now have appeared, for fee, on the cover of a variety of tabloids, blogs, and monthlies and be feted in the sauciest quarters.
This thread is worthless without pictures.
Oh come on...very funny.
This is all a result of the Guiliani/Bloomberg/DeBlasio administrations thinking they could turn the eternally dark and gritty Times Square area into a tourist Disneyland. It’s probably built over an Indian burial ground or something - it will always be a problem and no Disney Store, no unemployed actor dressed up as the Statue of Liberty is going to change how it attracts crooks, pickpockets, whores and hustlers. In fact, in this area, Lady Liberty is a crook herself!
Get rid of the pedestrian walkways, open it up to traffic and get break down the ludicrous and embarrassing grandstands set up as if the area was a mid-western small town about to watch a minor league baseball game.
Well, you made me look it up...the viral continues...
The guy went to Columbia University, apparently.
Delusional people go to Columbia.
Barry and this guy...
I heard he missed the airbag when he jumped. Was there any cosmetic damage that might affect his viability as a model?
Prosecuted for a publicity stunt?
Are you a Nazi or something? Addicted to government violence?
LOL! Beautiful! (Not the guy, but your post.)
All voluntary. The media did not “have” to cover him. You did not “have” to look.
I didn’t.
Much of the news is exactly the same sort of stuff. Engineered event to promote some “cause” or personal vanity.
Gotta know the system to play the system.
I stopped watching TV decades ago. One of the best decisions I ever made.
He was a major model before this (top line magazine covers). Not sure if this stunt will help his career.
I don’t think he was a major model, but I could be wrong.
Sure, deliberate. But I hope you hate our enemies as much as you seem to hate this guy.
He’s really got your feathers in a ruffle.
I’m seeing a lot of vinegar blending with water here.
It seems a few people want this guy to be “arrested” and sent down the river just for doing this.
NYC has like.... 3 freedoms left. Peeing on the street is one of them.
All this and the media venues he used to promote himself go scott free ? How many times have you heard this expression by too many in the media field, including most in the conservative talk radio;
“If it’s not in the New York Times it is not worth repeating ?” Supporting its claims as the American journalistic standard bearer. When it is nothing more, certainly proven with the Durante scandal, than a left agenda driven socialist apparatchick messenger.
The problem is not with this guy. The problem is with those media venues who chose to selectively promote abberant beheavior to call attention to their resources. While other venues such as the Times should have demonstrated that they at least have a compass and criticized this approach. Have not and instead crafted their reporting of stuff like this as activity supported by society and streight news .
Thank you!! Time to get back at all the frisky gentlemen on FR.
Fixed.
The guy sounds like a nut job. I doubt any respectable company would want to hire him.
He is in the hospital in stable condition because when he jumped about
20ft, he missed the airbag by 2”.
Karma is a bitch.
