Emory University history professor Carol Anderson condemned white elites and politicians, and Ronald Reagan in particular, for dismantling the progress of the black community.
In Andersons book, White Rage: The Unspoken Truth of Our Racial Divide, she claims that many of the advancements made by the African American community during the civil rights movement were diminished during the Reagan Presidency, even arguing that Reagans policies demonstrated disdain for the black community despite the fact that he positively oozed racial innocence on the surface.
Anderson also blames Reagans cuts to federal programs and workforces for the rise of black unemployment in the early 1980s, writing, Thus, just at the moment when the post-industrial economy made an undergraduate degree more important than ever, 15,000 fewer African Americans were in college during the early 1980s than had been the case in the mid 1970s.
One of the most outrageous accusations is Andersons claim that Reagan deliberately created a drug crisis and engulfed African American communities with drugs, specifically crack.
Anderson points out that between 1984 and 1994, life expectancy among African Americans declined and the homicide rate of African American males between ages 14 and 17 increased twice as much, something that not even slavery or Jim Crow had been able to accomplish.

Marxist racists will be Marxist racists.
Why aren’t they piss testing these treasonous, America-hating scumbags?
I like her. But then I like lost luggage.
This clown is unfit to be a professor.
This just the beginning, open season on us crackers.
aw, BS!
Out of control government is not progress for anybody.
Out of control government is toxic to the entire society. Even to those whom it purports to succor.
a free market and prosperous economy enables everyone INCLUDING BLACK PEOPLE to succeed.....
whereas...
a sinking communist welfare dole state with a strong dictatorial and regulatory overload....prevents most people INCLUDING BLACKS from having opportunities to succeed....
Reagan’s policies afforded blacks (and other Americans) with FAR more chances to succeed... than the current super-sized Obama Jobs Depression and anti-business, anti-opportunities policies ever can or will
The current policies (including giving almost all new jobs to new immigrants and illegal aliens) are designed to grind or keep people DOWN and dependant
including especially Blacks!
especially Blacks!
Liberals 2016
Reducing government is considered targeting blacks.
Unbelievable.
Why are blacks not offended by just about every condescending racist view held by liberals?
Today 57% of Black women are OBESE. Not over-weight, OBESE!
How does that affect life-expectancy?
Obesity Prevention In Black Communities
We had a Lib friend who still blames Reagan for the AIDS Epidemic.
Liberalism is a Mental Disorder.
YES!
I'm sure there are plenty of smart, successful black people out there who have been wincing every time they hear this kind of crap.
But we'll never know, because the media has no intention of EVER interviewing them.
Sadly not nearly as plenty as we would like.
Why arent they piss testing these treasonous, America-hating scumbags?
Who, politicians?
Random drug testing through out their term of office
and during election campaigns.
Agree.
“Diversity” started off some thirty years ago as an innocuous, hair-brained idea limited to university faculties. Now, it infests all professions from medical doctors to our military.
The same will happen with white privilege/rage. Blacks are constantly told that it isn’t their fault if they can’t read or behave themselves in school; every shortcoming is whitey’s fault. Simply being white or Christian will eventually morph into a crime.
The Left knows exactly what it is doing. Destroy society to destroy the republic.
