I’m a vly not qualified olunteer firefighter with La Madera Volunteer Fire dept. We’re district 16, Sandoval county, and cover La Madera, San Pedro Creek, and any other East Mountain portions of Sandoval county.
A couple of our guys are shuttling water to the fire, I just learned. I didn’t get my pack test done this year, and was out of town for the wildland refresher course, so I’m probably not qualified for anything out of our district. Not getting any younger either.
But I may get a chance to participate in some fashion.
We appreciate it.
Over hear in AZ a fire near Showlow just blew up in size in the last 18 hours. Looks like the whole town might have to evacuate.
They can just go ballistic. We get smoke from AZ fires all the time, it’s part of living in the west.
