ST. PETERSBURG — Andy Park wanted to see if a man could get into the woman's restroom at Target.
The retailer's "inclusive" restroom policy — allowing people to use whatever restroom corresponds with their gender identity — has been under fire since last week. It's a small flare-up in a larger firestorm around new laws banning transgender people from bathrooms that don't match the sex on their birth certificate.
Park, 57, hid a camera phone in his shirt pocket, went to the Target a quarter mile from his home and asked employees there if he could use the women's restroom.
He posted the video, which went viral.
"Sometimes, I get uncomfortable in the men's room," he told the employee. "I just wanted to make sure I'm allowed to go in the women's room."
The employee refers him to someone in security.

I saw the video, but somehow I missed the point of it.
We already know it’s a crazy idea, and caters to one very small group while making the vast majority uncomfortable.
We already know that.
Yet, in another article, this man says he doesn’t agree with the N.C. law saying use the bathroom of your birthgender. So what was he hoping to show by making this video? We also never get to see the filmer, so we don’t know how his appearance may have affected to reactions of Target employees. If he wants to say, this policy will allow perverts to harrass women, then say so.
I went in to our local Target’s ladies room a few weeks ago. It was full, I waited my turn when a pretty blonde came out of a stall and I said “Cool, I always wanted to use a ladies room”. I proceeded to relieve myself loudly and left. Let those ladies complain to management. They want to get ridiculous, I can get stupid ridiculous.

You’ve missed the point: he’s not the one victimizing them. Target, the lgbtq agenda and feminists are the ones abusing women and helping Democrats conduct the real war on women.

He got it exactly correct. I’ve been thinking for some time now that there really needs to be a single day where men across America clog women’s rooms across the country to demonstrate the absurdity of Targets policy and the lgbtq, Democrat and feminist agenda.
It’s high time we fought back using their own methods against them.

If there was no victimization of women, what would be the point of doing it? You don't think a man going into a women's restroom and, as you say, releasing gas loudly while urinating or defecating ISN'T based, very deliberately, on victimizing them as harshly as possible? He protested in a way that further victimized the women who are already victimized. Your argument is that women who shop at Target have it coming, that they should be treated like union scabs and attacked. To me, doing that loses the moral high ground through hypocrisy. You don't fight against an atrocity by committing it. I'm sorry you can't comprehend that.
I wonder how the employees of Target feel about this policy, such as the security individual in the story. Surely the majority are uncomfortable with it.
There is no MORAL highground when dealing with the liberal types. Women should be mortified and screaming bloody murder about males of any type in their public restrooms...you are preaching to the choir. The guy (the straight heterosexual) who did this did it to point out how absurd this whole topic is. For women to allow this to occur is beyond my rational. You are not understanding what I am stating about this whole bullshit thing with the mentally ill and perverse mutants that want this. Then you suspect wrong, because I take the details as they are - I don't collectivize and generalize them. And what you're defending is the deliberate traumatizing of girls and women in a public restroom by someone claiming to do it for a higher purpose, as a Christian. That's the ACTUAL subject here. And it's absolutely unChristian and dead wrong. And the principle can be turned around quite exactly, and has been, by LaRaza and the San Jose City Government attacking innocent, defenseless Trump supporters on behalf of "higher principles."
If this keeps up, women will start carrying in restrooms precisely because of this kind of crap, just like Trump supporters are talking about carrying to protect themselves from street punks. We'll see how courageous these so-called Christians are invading women's restrooms when that happens. We'll see where their higher principles are then. Or do you think they should carry too, to protect themselves from women trying to protect themselves?
Yeah, that's REALLY Christian - go into a woman's restroom to traumatize them for a higher Christian purpose (specifically, Jesus's command to traumatize women and girls to protest corporate policies of the stores they're in), and then shoot them when they fight back. Why not? After all, a guy's got to protect himself, and there's a higher Christian purpose at stake. Right?
