Everything I have seen seems to indicate Muslims have to be buried within 24 hours of death.
Ali's body is, if the news is correct, going to be paraded through the streets of Louisville.
So: is there an exception for famous Muslims? Or, was Ali not a devout Muslim? Or, was he Muslim in name only?
He died a week ago. And it wasn’t sudden.
That is what I understand, too.
I guess celebrity means you don’t have to play by the rules, even in death.
Obama made no exception for Bin Laden. They even had an Imam on board to make sure his body was prepared per their traditions.
I wondered that too.
There is no requirement that they be buried within 24 hours.

Probably a faux Muslim like so many of the rest of the black Muslims. They convert in jail so they get a new name and a new identity so people won’t know about their past criminal behavior. The Muslims can convert them very easily because of it.
Our government told us they had to dispose of Bin Laden within 24 hours, IIRC.

He was a Black Muslim, which is Muslim in much the same way as Mormonism is Christian. That is, they have their own take on things not necessarily recognizable to traditional practitioners.
Pious traditional Muslims are also buried in unmarked graves.
I don’t give a rat’s.... about this guy. If you’ve ever been to the museum in Louisville for him, there is a section from when he was in his prime.... he was the most racist/woman hating/white hating/ Christian hating person. The videos and pictures with his commentary, I seriously couldn’t believe that it was there. If a white christian person would have said what he was saying, the moooslums would have been having a cow or maybe a pig.
That would solve a lot of the world's problems, but there are challenges. More than a billion of them are still alive and might get irritable if you tried to bury them.

Yes it is true. Unless it is not true... In this case Allah has granted a waiver. Allah is voting for Crooked Hillary so he had to allow for Crooked Hillary to have her time in the limelight. So Allah willed that Moohamhead Ali could wait for a period over the 24 hours that is required for all faithful moooslims. The burial ceremony was postponed for this reason.

And apparently there are “cultural exceptions” where it is ok to wait so that a funeral can have proper visitors. Ali qualifies. As would a major head of state
