Toronto Police Services and correctional officers must revamp their policies on interacting with transgender inmates — especially at the point of arrest — after a historic settlement with a man who was stripped of men's clothing, forced into women's underwear and put into a holding cell for women.
The documents that confirm his gender identity were updated roughly 20 years ago when he transitioned from female to male. Kodak has facial hair, wears male clothing and has a deep male voice.
But after a strip search, he was moved to the female holding cells. A day later, he was transferred to Vanier Centre for Women, where he was strip searched again and correctional officers took away his penile prosthesis, despite his protests.
"To me, that's me, that's my body part," Kodak said, his voice shaking. "If someone, God forbid, loses a limb and they have a replacement — that's their body part. It's not an inanimate object.

Never mind the guards, can you imagine what will happen to this woman when they put her in the men’s jail like she think she wants? She will be raped, the guards probably won’t stop it because they think she is a freak and she is. She will learn quick how much of a man she is not trying to fight off other men in lockdown.
She’s mentally ill and needs help.
I also assume things will be harsh for the prisoner but this is the life that has been willfully chosen. Legal change of sex means that they are legally male.
The guards will probably be made an example of.

Right... and what happens if she is thrown in the men’s prison? How long does she seriously think she could pretend to be male before the other prisoners figure out the truth? There is no privacy in prison—toilets are out in the open in those cells. After she is assaulted, sexually and otherwise, does she sue and complain because the guards did not treat her in a manner consistent with her actual gender rather than the gender of her delusions?
Once you accept the premise that you should treat a delusional person as if their delusions are real, you place yourself in a no-win situation. She is a woman, and the guards were correct to treat her as such. She would *not* be safe in a male prison.
I hope she gets to wear a condom in the male prison to prevent getting pregers.

Not really. The state can always argue that males are also raped, and produce evidence to prove it. They can say it’s her fault for being in a men’s prison with that evidence.
True, men do get raped in jails, but they usually don’t sue because rape emasculates a man, and most real men don’t want to make it public. They just want to be macho and forget about it.
I see your point, but the problem with it is that it’s logical.
In the victim culture in the era of identity politics, logic is so yesterday.
Trannies are victims. They will always be victims of the rest of us, never of their own twisted choices. And they will always want reparations and will construct victim scenarios to get the money.
