An Ohio woman says she feels like a 'prisoner' in her home because a deer has been attacking her outside. Cindy Frost said that she's called police about the doe and asked for assistance in walking her dogs near her suburban Cleveland home located in Mentor-on-the-Lake. 'I feel like I'm a prisoner,' she told WJW. 'I can't take my dogs out for a walk. 'I can't even walk down to the end of my property and when I go to my car I'm looking all around.'

Perhaps a weapon for self-defense?

We are currently not using our back driveway - garage access - as a doe gave birth to a fawn on Monday around noon.
We are giving her a wide buffer as we want the new fawn to have a good chance at life.
This happens every other year or so.
Once, one of our cats (he was getting older and a bit blind) got chased down this driveway by a doe with twin fawns a few years back. He was tough and stood off a big fox! Mrs. deer chassed him well!
Perhaps this lady has a fawn on her property...

That’s not a deer.
That’s venison on the hoof.

Plug it, gut it and throw away the carcass. End of story. Repeat if necessary.

Cuyahoga County has the highest level bag limit, four deer of either sex, in the State because it’s overrun with white tails. Archery season starts Sept. 26. Gun season starts Nov. 30.

Sure, but you don’t need to wait for the season to start to shoot an animal in self defense. Don’t need a license or tags either.
To: BBB333
That makes sense, especially since it’s a doe.
I had the same happen in my yard. I walked toward the deer, usually they run off, this one came forward slowly and and stood it’s ground. I did my task (filling my garbage can) and came back in.
Sure enough, later, I did see it with a fawn.
