you can end any debate with any of the white guilt goons by saying-” I never owned any slaves, and you never picked any cotton .” Then just walk away.

Too bad the film won’t show the Democrat party involvement in the issue.

He's "the Lance Armstrong of literature."

Haley not only lost a high-profile plagiarism suit against his work in “Roots, but any serious look into the Haley family’s genealogy has found — and I’m being generous — that large portions of what was sold as non-fiction cannot be verified.

Yep we know the story.

Yep, it was a rehash of Harold Courlander's (currently a DWM) historic fiction The African that Haley presented as a bio of his family...

I never owned slaves. No one alive in the USA today ever lived under slavery. I don't owe them a cent or an apology. I am not obligated to feel guilt for my existence, or for whatever they imagine I represent.

I'm sick of this anti-white racism. I already can't stand basketball, football, boxing, or any movie with a black racist in a leading role (that's about all of them these days).

What a phony that Alex Haley was. It sounds like he lied about everything. IIRC Haley died broke and the funeral home that handled his funeral was not paid.

Depending on who you talk to.
We were the last country to use slaves and the first to get rid of it.
Not to mention the fact that the first slave owner was black!

You are showing your age. They stopped putting cotton in pill bottles ages ago.

We were the last country to use slaves ...

Alas, slavery is still rampant around the world. You don't see it overtly but it is still there.

Slavery’s still bad - AND slavery still exists... Odd how NO AMERICAN BLACK ORGANIZATIONS has been created in the last hundred years to abolish slavery in the modern world.

All that pity - and ONLY for themselves. Not admirable.

When are they going to do “white roots,” the story of the Irish indentured slaves?

They can call it: Potato

Stirring the pot, again.
