-- but as long as all their ingredients, distribution, etc. is within the state, the FDA doesn't have jurisdiction --

I don't know if the courts deal with this sort of question on an industry by industry basis, but for the most part, the fact that an activity is wholly intrastate does not preclude federal regulation. All activity affects interstate commerce, and that is the hook that courts use to uphold the regulations. A fellow by the name of Reynolds built a gun in his basement, never sold it or offered it for sale, and he was convicted of a federal firearms offense (California) under the rationale of Raich, which makes home-grown pot a federal offense.

Jackson, Grant, McKinley, Kennedy and Clinton all disapprove of this plan.

They will get around this by not selling complete vapes. All they have to do is sell the battery pack, the coil and the tank as separate pieces. Same with flavors. They will sell the liquid separate from the flavor. They already sell the nicotine separately.

“Great news.”

Laugh now but you may be next. Heart disease, after all, is the number 1 killer.

You MUST be healthy, as determined by your insurance wellness plan, or pay increased rates. Everything is in place, structurally through commie-care and argumentatively, through smoke nazis, to come after you and your eats.

This is why it started w/tobacco (actually, it was alcohol but we know how that went). Tobacco use is avidly hated by many, hence the onerous rules pass easy.

What else is there other than smokes and fatty eats?

-Sexually transmitted diseases, including those that lead to cancer. How about an AIDS tax on that gay marriage license? If Billy Graham gets in office, you might have that.

-Contact sports. Rare are those paralyzed for life but when it happens to an adolescent, that’s a long time to pay up. Also, a million one dollar claims costs as much as a single million dollar claims. Physical therapy for relatively minor sports injuries is a multi billion dollar industry due to the volume of clients.

-How about living near a city? Increased pollution rates mean increased respiratory illness. You are not “well enough” if you live in town so special tax for you!

-Like to hike, climb mountains? Sorry too risky to walk on unpaved paths. Not legal - for your own good.

Any of the above and more can be justified w/the same argument as tobacco - statistically, use increases risk. Not a guarantee of illness. Just better odds. All can be enforced through wellness requirements.

So go ahead and yuk it up but keep this in mind:

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Socialist.

Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

Not a very well written article. Looks like they are banning cigar sales to those under 18. Not real clear about what else.

The raids on kanthal wire, all lithium ion batteries, and USP grade vegetable glycol will begin tomorrow.

Fortunately, my stockpile was lost in a tragic boating accident.

This is going to shut down my small business. Have lots of stock in hand, but no way am I able to get the FDA hoops jumped.

So much for a home based business selling products that work...but we knew eventually they were going to hand the vapes back to big tobacco one of these days.

I roll pipe tobacco because I can get a pound for 13.99 at tax class L .

I do that, too. I wonder if now the rolling tobacco tax, which went up by 2200% when Obama took office, will be extended to pipe tobacco. The document seems vague on that detail, but I imagine it will. Why would they bring it up if not for getting their loot.

You can’t have a little bit of a Nanny State. We were headed here the minute the first drug laws were passed in the early 1900’s.

First they came for our Big Gulps. Now they’re coming for our cigars. What’s next—our Big Macs?

I hate big, nanny-state government and anyone who supports it.

I hear they’re going after the large ring sizes first—assault cigars. And humidors that hold more than 5 cigars will be banned as well.

Kanthal wire? Is that what I need to rewire my vape?

I’ve needed to rewire and recotton my vape for a while now. Never done it before. I think I need a big magnifying glass, it’s so tiny.
