The 96 Liverpool soccer fans who died in the Hillsborough Stadium disaster were "unlawfully killed" because of errors by the police, a jury concluded Tuesday.
Relatives of the victims of the 1989 disaster, some wearing Liverpool scarves, were in tears outside a specially-built courtroom after new inquests into Britain's worst sporting disaster.

One of the reasons I support Everton is that the rivalry with Liverpool isn’t a mean-spirited one, and isn’t religious-based like Celtic-Rangers.
I hope Liverpool wins tonight.
That’s what I felt when I visited Liverpool.
There was a lot of banter with Evertonians, but all in good spirit.
Talking about that, have a look at this thread:

Pictures from Basel with one of our new banners: “Everton are tragic, Sakhos on the magic” :p
But, as you also can see from the pictures. The travelling crowd has changed. Still a majority of young males, but also females, families, children and even the elderly :)
I am honestly a bit worried about trouble tonight, as there will be thousands of Reds without tickets watching on big screens etc in Basel, but almost no transport out of Basel after the game.
Hopefully all goes well :)
Thatcher deserves a lot of credit for cleaning things up in English football.
It was great to see Everton fans give Tim Howard a nice sendoff, lots of US flags in the crowd.
I know.
Just never ever, ever say that on Merseyside :p
Infact, don’t bring up politics at all. :p
It is a socialist hell hole :D
I know, Liverpool is as Red as it gets (and I don’t mean the color of their uniform).
To be fair.
Thatcher basically wanted the entire city liquidated.

No wonder she isn’t popular there.
Also with Brexit on the horizon, the EU has been far more generous (with other people’s money of course) to Merseyside than any British government.
There are signs of growth now, but you have an entire generation almost lost. Children who are three generations of welfare recipients.
EU regeneration funds have helped. Hopefully in another generation or two Merseyside and other cities up north will have recovered.
Though there own socialists tendencies are not bound to help the process.
Did fans without tickets enter,or attempt to enter, the stadium?
Not in any numbers that affected the tragedy.
Didn’t go too well tonight, I see.
It was a horrible collapse in the second half.
Well done Sevilla.
They were deserved winners.
I am just going to have another drink and mix it with my salty tears :)
