I have a problem. The WV GOP allows non-aligned voters to vote in the WV GOP primary.
That non-Republicans are allowed to vote in some primaries seems to cause much consternation here at FR.
I’m a non-aligned voter....should I vote in the primary?
Thanks to all three of you.
We all need all the sanity and places to reflect we can find in this Silly Season.
...never seen anything quite like this....
With that, I’m off to bed. Need all the beauty sleep I can get...
You and me both. Have a good one...
I just found this - thank you!
Please add me to your ping list.
I don’t care for non aligned voters being allowed to vote in party primarys, but if the law in your state allows it, and you want to vote, then by all means VOTE!

Of course you should vote. There's nothing wrong with an independent voting in a party primary, if the party allows it. That's called an open primary.
I'm an independent registered in Florida, so I wasn't able to vote in Florida's closed primary.
Florida registered Republicans came through for Trump very strongly, of course, crushing both Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz.
Another clear sign of Ted Cruz's profound weakness as a general election candidate is the fact that he has performed so poorly in swing states such as Florida and Ohio...
So vote away, please.
Evenin’, Bull.
Vote Trump!
That said, personal attacks against either the candidates or their supporters are both unnecessary and unhelpful. Does anyone benefit other than Hillary, Bernie, Jeb, Rubio, Kasich, and others who consistently support Amnesty, who consistently support Obamacare, and who consistently support restrictions on our individual, God-given right to keep and bear arms?
Decent Americans are better off with a real truce, and not just a Ill stop when every person who even pretends to support the other side stops gesture toward a truce that will never happen.
The nonsense is not helping us to elect the best possible conservative in November. I want 99% or more of Cruz supporters to vote Trump, when he is nominated, even if they hold their noses. In the event that Cruz wins the nomination, I want 99% or more of Trump supporters to vote Cruz, even if they hold their noses. Offending the other side does not encourage them to vote Trump (or Cruz) in November.
I cannot help wondering how many of those who stir up the Trump-Cruz wars are actually paid trolls taking Jeb/Hillary/Soros money to cause trouble - not all of them but probably enough to set the toxic tone.
I stand by my recurring statement:
Cruz and Trump are both imperfect but they agree far more than 80% of the time (see my tagline from Ronald Reagan). They should be friends and allies, and we should treat both of them as such.
Thanks for the response
Agree ... thank you for posting some sanity during this insane time.
Go Cruz ... if not
Go Trump.
