Ronald Reagan said years ago "If fascism ever comes to America, it will come in the name of liberalism."
Well if you paraphrase these words and replace America with Germany they would be prophetic
Just in the past week or two here are three stunning examples--
1.The liberal German government instructed the police to raid the homes of people who posted on the internet that they did not like Germany's immigration policy.

2. A liberal justice minister came out and said that billboards that feature women in underwear or bathing suits need to be banned because they are what is making Muslim immigrants want to rape German women.

3. Now liberal Chancellor Merkel is using an archaic 144 year old law to prosecute a German comedian for mocking Turkish President Erdogan. The penalty for which is a possible 5 year prison sentence.

Liberals: Born to be Fascist
Fascism has always been a left-wing ideology. It is one of the variants of socialism.
The whole “fascism is right-wing” trope is merely a marketing ploy by the socialists who decided that Hitler was bad for their brand.
The left in Germany is so stupid and historically ignorant.
This will blow back in their faces in a very nasty way.
And I’ll make sure my popcorn supply is fully stocked when it does.
Lefties that I’ve talked to like to pretend that nationalism means right wing, and they use that to pretend that The National Socialist German Workers’ Party were right wing. Ignorance and lying abounds with the left.
To the left means to seek to concentrate power into as few hands as possible.
To the right means to seek to distribute power into as many hands as possible.
Those are the simple lowest common denominators of left and right, and before I deign to discuss politics with an idiot lefty they must recognize those basic truths.
All German law should have been abolished in 1945 and required to be rewritten. I mean it, the German law against *murder* for-crying-out-loud should be no more than 71 years old.
"Socialist!"
Not sure the actions mentioned actually fit the classic definition (which is based on economics) of Fascism or Nazism. Socialism or Tyranny would fit better, perhaps.
Socialism is at odds with human nature. Our natural and appropriate response to the world is to seek the self interest of ourselves and our families. Self interest is how we survive. Sometimes self interest and the greater good coincide, some times they don’t.
Socialism uses force (fascism) to impose its will when self interest and the greater good conflict. The elimination of free speech and the imposition of mandated beliefs is a classic example of fascism.
The Muslims are destroying Germany and are attacking the German people. The self interest of the German people is being violated. The government has a harsh way of dealing with those who speak out.
You got it.
Right wing has a little different meaning in Europe than in the America. Europeon countries never had a basis in individualism, limited government, free market capitalism and our freedoms, so their right wing does not either.
But of course most American leftists don’t want to admit that because it sound good lumping what they call the right wing bad guys in europe with what they call right wing here.
