Birth of a Nation was a 1920’s pro Ku Klux Klan film that was the first movie ever shown in the White House, President Woodrow Wilson
Wilson gave a big thumbs up for the movie.

Only the dumbest slave owner abused his valuable property. There were some who did but they were examples of white trash with money.
I have a hard time faulting any direct action an actual slave took against the ones who were on the side of the enslavers. Note, that is only for an actual* slave.
It’s an interesting book. Nat Turner was apparently a bright and attractive boy who was treated well and taken under the wing of one of his owners.
A 1915 film. Wilson was gone from the White House in March of 1921. Due to a stroke, his brain vacated the premises a couple of years before that. That movie was a gross embarrassment.
