KANAWHA COUNTY, WV -
An East Bank Middle School teacher is seen yelling at a student in a video secretly filmed by a different student.
In the video the teacher says that the next time the student, opens their “big stinking mouth I will write you up and send you to the office.”
Throughout the video the teacher references the student walking into his office without being invited, and the fact that the teacher is an adult and what he watches “is his choice.”
The teacher also tells the class that the student threatened to blackmail him.

No, that was completely unintentional.
The teacher was simply being a strict instructor at first, and was within his rights to berate the student. This discussion, direct , confrontational and unpleasant as it was should have been done in private, with a neutral party from school administration watching them both.
Where the teacher went off the rails was with that line “Keep your flap SHUT!!”
That is where it became abusive, inappropriate and threatening speech. His next evaluation should be interesting.
Teacher-baiting is a sport for some teens. There are no repercussions to the kids no matter what they do, so why not?
Have thought of this. It happened at East Bank Middle. When I was in school we used to shout “East Bank is Rank” when we played them at games. Now I know why they are so rank. Kids blackmailing teachers.
