These are the out-migrating urban lefties looking for a Northwoods Lake Woebegone lifestyle in the later years and the young idiots looking to make a buck as a barrista in some crummy cabin-themed coffee shop. Spooner has been growing a significant parasite population ever since grandpa started bringing the grandkids up for a week of fishing. They grew up and wanted a slice of that life (and their urban politics and coffee, too). So, the migrate and colonize. The locals who live with arms, hunting and fishing are too busy with making a living and enjoying their freedoms to take the idiot seriously. Next, the parasites move into the school board or get themselves elected to the town council.
Then, the Spooner locals might wake up.
Locally, it looks like Phyllis Kahn, the most liberal state congress critter, ever, is going to be curb tossed because she is no longer the ultra liberal when somalis are running for her seat.

Good news but I left the metro hell quite some time back. Kahn got her start back when I was younger on the Mpls. city council if I recall correctly. I remember that loon agitating for lowering the voting age to 12-14. Sheesh, what a freakin’ lunatic! Of course, getting a muzzie might be worse.
