People who thought they would love socialism getting the socialism they deserve.

Bernie and Hillary want to bring this to the USA.

Interesting. The two guys in it are some kind of whackos themselves.

Since you think it a “must view” then perhaps we should ping Zathras.

I think I’d be “whacko” too had I spent any time down there.

They are, but at least they recognize that Venezuela is Bernie Sanders dream. Everywhere, in the murder capital of the world, police busy enforcing business signs “no guns, smoking, or racism”...as they said, socialist dream.

That’s easy: you saw an insufferable Marxist sh*t hole.

Anyone who’s spent five minutes studying history will tell you the same.

An interesting link in this regard:

https://keripeardon.wordpress.com/2013/06/01/wheelbarrows-of-money-and-the-weimar-republic/

From the link:

“My father was a lawyer,” says Walter Levy, an internationally known German-born oil consultant in New York, “and he had taken out an insurance policy in 1903, and every month he had made the payments faithfully. It was a 20-year policy, and when it came due, he cashed it in and bought a single loaf of bread.”

We all know what became of Germany in the years following the Weimar inflation. Fortunately, I don't think we need to fear a similar blowback from Venezuela. It's that mañana culture, dontcha know! Internal threats are more urgent.

Venezuela was once considered one of the wealthiest countries in the world, per capita, because of its oil and other natural resources.

(I should have mentioned, like Detroit was once the wealthiest city in America.)

The commenters make my head hurt. These kids seriously think that “we can do it better!” No one wants to pay attention to the cautionary tales from people who LIVED IT during the Cold War. My God, we’re seriously in a heapload of shit with these kids becoming the next generation of parents and politicians. Pray for us.
