George Mason University is tweaking its plan to rename its law school the Antonin Scalia School of Law to avoid an unfortunate acronym, but a group of state legislators wants to scrap the idea entirely.
Eleven Democratic lawmakers sent a letter Tuesday to the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia, also known as SCHEV, asking it to reject the universitys renaming plan out of concern over whether Scalia is worthy of the honor. Mason, Virginias largest public university, has said it needs the councils approval for the new name.
Scalia was also one of the most controversial justices in modern history, the lawmakers wrote. Indeed, we have received pleas from alumni who are deeply concerned that this decision will undermine their ability to find future employment or undermine their professional reputation.

...worthy of the honor??...
Yeah, accurately interpreting what is actually contained in the Constitution of the United States of America is “controversial”.
How about Barack Obama School of Central Organising.. Or
BOSCO
Free Speech you morons. What business does the State have telling a private school what it can name itself? Liberals can’t help being freedom-crushing authoritarians.
Justice Scalia had a middle name: Gregory. Call it AGS Law School.
In Virginia, a Democrat state legislator is known by the original Anthony Scalia School of Law acronym, ASS of L (liberal).
We have more Democrat crap politicians than an old Klan rally used to have. They make Hitler and his Nazis green (or brown) with envy as to their lockstep mentality, loyalty and blind obedience to Herr Obama and Herress Debbie Wasserman-Ahole Schulz.
I used to think that the Communists I have been fighting for over 50 years were psychotic fanatics but the Dems have come up to match them, esp. with Hillary and Bernie as their presidential candidates.
I’ve never seen such blind obedience from “liberals”. FYI, “Liberal” was one of the KGB’s nicknames for one of their agents/spies in the State Department or White House(or in the case of Rosenberg, a civilian in the Signal Corps) - either Alger Hiss or Julius Rosenberg, or perhaps Harry Hopkins. Need to check the Venona Papers books for just which one it was.
Somehow the RED of communism has blended with today’s Democrat Party to wipe out the White and Blue of the Red, White and Blue.
If you don’t believe me, just look at the Dems and who they are. We have a Communist/Marxist/islamist in the White House. We have a former US Senator and Secy of State who admired communists/Marxists since she was in college - Hillary. And we have Bernie “I’m a socialist’ Sanders who never broke from Marxism, from here to Moscow and back.
And who is one of the top Democrats in the House (once the leader of the House Judiciary Committee)? Rep. John Conyers (D-Mich). He’s the dean of living reds in Congress, beating out the late George Crockett, Bella Abzug (probably KGB agent), and Ron Dellums, as well as identified NKVD congressman Dickstein (1934) - he liked the Reds’ money.
On the Senate side, we had Alan Cranston (D-CA) who was up to his neck in the Communist Party USA apparatus in the Office of War Information and Institute of Pacific Relations (not to mention the murder of Carlos Tresca); Ted Kennedy, who is smelling more like a Moscow puppet as new Soviet contacts with him are uncovered; and a couple back in the late 30’s/early 40’s (In Appendix IX, SPCUA, 1944 series).
We have a party of Reason and a party of Treason. The difference has never been clearer to sane people. Unfortunately, liberals are NOT sane and they have been able to manipulate and fool enough of the people enough the time, enough to win elections, and some people all of the time.
America, We have a problem!!
George Mason is a public university.
Gee, maybe they’d like to dump George Mason’s name while they’re at it. He was quite the Constitutional originalist, too.
Sigh
That’s twelve too many.
I knew that eventually some DEMOCRATS would whine about this.
