Toss him out of office; a good move. Strip him of his state pensions; absolutely. How many thugs walk the streets, not so long after caught for shooting a fellow citizen?
That locked him up only to keep his mouth shut.
Illinois could have saved us all a lot of trouble if they Jailed their corrupt US Senators like they do their corrupt Gov, which seem to be most if not all.
Pffft... he’ll get his pardon in about 290 days.
Just check out former Maryland Gov. Marvin Mandel over the Marlboro Racetrack scandal (Bebe Rebozo et al). Gov. Mandel re-assumed the duties of his office from his Lt. Governor after the convictions on (iirc) nineteen counts of Mail Fraud were overturned, and stepped out three days later into full retirement, with all the benefits thereof.
Illinois crooks are getting lessons in DC, and DC learned from Annapolis.
(No one in DC who was any good would have left a trail).
