Illegal and low-skilled immigration disproportionally harms the job prospects and wages of black Americans, Peter Kirsanow, a commissioner on the U.S. Civil Rights Commission, told a Senate panel Wednesday.

“Unequivocally, the wages and employment levels of black Americans are disproportionately adversely affect by illegal immigration. Particularly when it pertains to the effect on black males,” Kirsanow testified before the Senate Subcommittee on Immigration and the National Interest.

This should be a great issue for Republicans. It forces Dems to defend a policy that's hurting their strongest voting block. But, alas, the GOPe is corrupt and clueless.

People who just figured this out aren’t stupid. But they sure are real slow.

This is common sense and has been known for a long time. But media and politicians do not want it mentioned.

Here's a clue for those who haven't been paying attention - the political class don't give a rats arse about black people, or the poor for that matter.

They care about their donors, either in the private sector or in the unions.

That should be easy for all blacks to understand.

Also, we have less for them when we’re giving up so many resources (welfare, social security, health care, etc.) to illegals and so-called refugees.

When a lib uses “proportion”, one can be assured that the content is pure excrement.

Personally, I believe Trump needs to do a better job of expressing his views to minorities.

Both blacks and legal immigrants would have better opportunities if we have a strong economy.

Yes to your post.

Trump has a plan that would benefit blacks, they should figure this out. But it also helps Hispanics.

The legal Hispanics are in, they understand that the illegals keep wages down for them.

The illegal are more interesting, some of them qualify as “good” for America. they have jobs, they don’t break the law (except for crashing the border) and don’t use welfare, the family is learning English Etc. They should go for the Trump solution as it will make them legal.

The illegal group who don’t meet the criteria can justifiably fear the Trump requirements, but there is also a hope for them that if they adopt new rules immediately perhaps by the time Trump finds them they too can stay in country...

Trump needs to get his plan out in more detail and I am sure he will when the time is right.

You assume that many are actually looking for employment at your own peril. It’s hard to affect something that you have absolutely no desire or inclination to get.
