Megyn Kelly to Host Primetime Special on Fox Broadcasting (Barf alert)
Variety ^ | March 15, 2016 | Brian Steinberg

Posted on 03/15/2016 12:19:52 PM PDT by CedarDave

Megyn Kelly will, for at least an hour, jump from Fox News Channel to Fox prime time.

The Fox News anchor, whose stature has grown during the most recent election cycle as she has tangled with Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, will host a one-hour prime-time special on Fox Broadcasting.

During the one-hour special Kelly will interview celebrities from the worlds of politics, entertainment and other areas of human interest. She will also discuss the year she has had covering the 2016 presidential campaign.

The special has been in the works for some time. Roger Ailes, chairman and chief executive, disclosed last June that executives were contemplating a series of prime-time specials for Kelly ...

Kelly has not been shy about her ambitions. “Barbara Walters has retired,” Kelly told Variety last year. “Diane Sawyer left her anchor role. Oprah has moved to the OWN network and is doing a different thing now. So why not me?”

Roll Greta into the 9PM slot, she’s the most honest and best actual journalist of the bunch.

The Peter Principle all over again. Murdoch and Ailes do not realize what all their pandering has cost them with viewership of Fox and subscriptions to the WSJ, to name two.

They continue to oppose the majority of the electorate thinking it will somehow improve their business postion. And now with the “Snow Queen” spraying their viewers with big chunks of egoism and pandering to the GOPe backers.

How is this going to work???

Beautifully said. Poetry to my ears.

Hillary has been matched. Personally speaking, Me*again is every bit as repellant.

The difference is Kelly wears bling and spikes.

Hillary wears “bobs” and flats.

I watched her show last night, well part of it. It was PATHETIC, the Video and interview of Michelle Fields and Ben Shapiro was truly a remarkable display of just plain LIES. I saw NO SUCH ATTACK on ANY of the videos out there.

Seriously? I would think it would be even more, but have only heard how “unaffected” are the FOXMegyn numbers.

Thx for the info.

It was about 1/3 of her nightly audience. It is a big number in context of her over all viewers.

Fox seems to have a fair number of former prosecutors and judges in their stable (have you stopped beating your wife yet?...were you lying then or are you lying now?...). The adversarial gotcha Mike Wallace schtick is annoying.

The best and most entertaining interviews are conversational, where the interviewer lets you realize for yourself that the person being interviewed is in fact a jackass. Unfortunately, most of the time I come away thinking the interviewer is a jackass.

Think I’ll pass.

Rather watch CNN, not Megyn.

Roger Ailes = Alfred Hitchcock

Megyn Kelly = Tippi Hedren

Rest of the world = Projectile Vomiting

Get used to it. Megyn Kelly is a STAR. You can love her or hate her but that is the reality.

She will take over from O’Reilly as the face of Fox News sooner rather than later. And the idea that the Fox Network would exploit her popularity should surprise no one.

Nope, she will not. Not when she costs them 1/3 of the watchers in her time slot.

And like it or not, you are going to have to accept the fact that no matter how hard you fan girl for her, she is still never going to date you.
