A high-ranking sheriff’s official in Arizona refused to allow a television news reporter into a press conference on the basis that the reporter “hates the sheriff.”
But the reporter only exposed an embarrassing truth about Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu that the sheriff had been denying for years.
That he was, in fact, a sadistic schoolmaster who oversaw and encouraged the abuse of children during a prior career more than a decade ago in Massachusetts.

Thank you for your article. It is factual and should be noted by all since he is on regularly on Fox news and we in Arizona have known since the scandal that he is not what he says he is and is dangerous with regards his positions on immigration.
Nothing hurts a principled cause more than a lying “champion” of that cause and that is exactly what Paul Babeau is,thanks again for bringing the info forward.

I think Sheriff Babeu answered these allegations back in the 2012 election cycle. In my opinion they are nothing more than Democrat talking points. With the only factual statement being the that Babeu is gay.
I also know he has been a damn fine Sheriff and I for one am unhappy that he is running for the House seat left vacant by that Great Democrat, Ducking Ann Kirkpatrick.
In his two terms as Sheriff, there has been several attempts to smear him as they have Arpio in neighboring Maricopa County. NOTHING has stuck. Every allegation has been refuted. Add in the fact that every deputy to a man/woman I have spoken to has nothing but praise for Sheriff Paul. AS one told me at the time a deputy was being investigated by the FBI for shooting and killing a man in the town of Eloy. According to the deputy, “this sheriff will back you to the hilt as long as you do not lie. Then he will hang you”.
No, I’ll also back my sheriff. Especially his stand on border security.
