Trump didn't nibble at Rush's carrot so he's (Rush) has moved on and hoping that his previous endorsement of Rubio is forgotten and never to be talked about again and, so far, he's been successful, on his show, by having his call screener not to take calls from anyone who wants to bring up his previous position on his endorsement of Rubio
Trump is no fool, he fully knows that 0's mission was and is to destroy this country and knew it from start of his installation as president but he also knows what would will happen if he stated his real opinion in public.
He would be attacked viciously and ad nauseam by the left wing press, media ‘talking heads’, talk show hosts, the RNC establishment and the Hillary campaign as Trump being a far right wing conspiracy and delusional nut job because it can’t be proven, even though it's obvious, what 0’s real intentions were and are.

Sad, isn’t it? What about two weeks ago when the NYT came out with an exposé of Rush having been wined and dined by Roger Ailes and Chuck Schumer during the amnesty bill days, asking him to not call the bill amnesty and to talk about it much less, play it down, so they could get it passed, and thereafter Rush DID EXACTLY THAT?? And never mentioned to his faithful, loving audience that he was doing “Chuck You Schumer”’s bidding???
Even worse than the article was the first show after it came out. Rush saw FR and other places all a’twitter about Rush’s dirty butt kissing behind the scenes and knew a lot of his audience was going to be tuning in to see how he defended himself. Best we could hope for was that he was abjectly apologetic and insisting it was the only time he danced to the tune of the establishment and DEMS. Nope, he defended himself by lying and saying the dinner kissing didn’t work. And Rush’s attitude was all wrong: angry at us, defensive, nasty.
I loved Rush for 18 years. Wow, to find out he was a phony and just all about his own success really made me sad. Now I understood he caused Obama.
THATS RIGHT, RUSH CAUSED OBAMA. If Rush had questioned Obama’s citizenship, presenting just the known facts, EVER, in 2008 we wouldn’t have had him as President. NO MEDIA EVER TOLD THE AMERICAN PEOPLE THAT BARACK OBAMA DOESNT PASS E-VERIFY. He has always used other people’s Social Security Numbers. No one does that if they are legal Americans, unless they are criminals hiding their identity. Rush could have wondered why Obama’s selective service form was the only one issued in that 1980s year that had a stamped date with two digits instead of four on it. Or ask why newborn baby Barack was only seen in Seattle and not Honolulu.
I went from admiring Rush with all my heart to disliking his dishonesty to us so quickly. I still wish it was all a misunderstanding. Rush had power to help us against Obama. I do realize he was told to back off the eligibility by SOMEONE but the Rush I thought he was WOULD HAVE TOLD US ANYWAY even if he were fired, and his patriotism and bravery would have had him be a success somewhere again in no time. Sean Hannity admitted something once about not being able to discuss all subjects, but he worked for Fox so I could see that. Rush could have helped us.
Now it’s clear he could have helped us on the amnesty bill and lots of other subjects (like this crucial election) but either he enjoys brown nosing bigwigs very much or he is just a closet establishment hack, playing patriot on the radio.
What is it with Rush that he keeps pumping up Rubio.

I listen to Rush nearly every day and he is generally positive for all the people running. He will call out some bad things as he sees them (like amnesty and gang of 8) but he’ll also call out the positives.
Rush will never say one person is the perfect candidate that he agrees with everything they say or do. Is Trump perfect? Hell no...he has all kinds of problems that Rush could be attacking but he doesn’t. Is Cruz perfect? Hell now there are a few things Rush could be attacking but he doesn’t. Is Rubio perfect f’in no way!
Rush knows he will have to support whoever the nominee is so he’s not trashing any of them. Lately he is providing a lot of analysis and not really taking a side on anything and that appears to upset some sensitive people here that Rush isn’t praising my guy enough babies.
Has it occurred to you that this is an OBSERVATION rather than an “endorsement”?

I think Trump’s decision to refer to Obama as just incompetent rather than being deliberately subversive might be a conscious decision on his part. In other words, he may be aware of Obama’s intent but feels that it’s politically smarter at this time to refer to it as incompetence rather than deliberate subversiveness.
I have not listened to Rush in years but I do remember many campaigns listening to him. Nothing has changed. Give it a few days and he will say something good about your guy. Give it a day and he will say something bad about Rubio. He picks topics not people. He has to be very careful not to be totally one guy or it is an ad.
You make a good point! We need to take out Rush and all the other conservative talk show hosts we don't listen to.......Once we get rid of all your alleged establishment whores then we can tune into those folks who "really, really, really" represent our views. My first choice would be......uh, uh.....hmmmmm......./s
