These are not the same thing. They are not even close to the same thing, and pretending otherwise because it favors a political candidate is not an act of respect for the truth. What we have on the one hand is a few intemperate words; what we have on the other is an act of violent political warfare. Those are the facts, and shading them isn't going to help. And using vague accusations such as "creating an atmosphere" is the act of a coward and a liar.
I see you have been here since 1999.
I have not checked out your posting history but I assume that you have posted and read a lot of posts in the last SIXTEEN YEARS.
In all that time, in the 10 billion times you have seen the initials POS posted (just a rough estimate), did you ever accuse anyone else of vulgarity for posting that?
Just curious.
I don’t like Trump’s incitement or threat of lawsuits. This is not what makes America great. It makes America combative.
99% of those protesters didn’t even know Trump said that. It’s moronic to side with the protesters and blame the victim.
You live in Zambia?
I'm not positive, but I think he also participated in the recent NRO "conservative" pile-on of Trump.
NRO ?
Bill Mahar is more objective and right more often.
So if you see somebody getting ready to throw a tomato, knock the crap out of em, would you? Seriously. Okay? Just knock the hell I promise you, I will pay for the legal fees. I promise. I promise
“which not inevitably begets more rogue behavior and perversely enables thugs to portray their thuggery as justifiable retaliation.”
To anyone with a room temperature IQ who noticed the placards, flags, etc. that the thugs had, it was plain that retaliation for Trump’s impatience with protesters was not what they had in mind. It was retaliation for what Trump says about making America great again and his methods to bring that about.
These thugs were a zoo collection of riff raff who were gathered and sent in to do their job by professional provocateurs.
Does anyone really believe that Bill Ayres was offended by language Trump used with disruptive protesters?
And then shifty Cruz gets up and tries to smear Trump with blame for the entire incident. Then he is joined by little Marco and then the postman’s son.
Not the same thing, just the same: “It is ludicrous to argue that, because the hard Left is primarily responsible for the outbreak of chaos and violence that caused Donald Trumps Chicago rally to be canceled last night, it is wrong to condemn the thuggery Trump often encourages at his appearances.”
Great.
A Trump rally is full of born again Christians. Those people don't beat up anyone and wouldn't be there if they thought Trump did.
Find a better lie to tell.
I’ve been here a while, and I know the difference between then and now.
I’m sorry, I can’t agree. Those examples of “thuggery” cited, weren’t. You can pretend they were if it makes you feel better, but they weren’t.
Excuse me NRO. We did not just have Trump supporters violently attack a Bernie rally. But if that had happened, it would be ludicrous to then talk about how Bernie encouraged thuggish behavior as some kind of excuse. Not even Hilary would sink that low.

It’s not thuggery, but lawsuits are a pretty near thuggery. They won’t make America great.
